| Admission to the UG programmes of engineering is competitive and will be made through JEE Mains exam through the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) to the condition that students must have obtained 75% marks (65% for SC/ST candidates) in 10+2 or be in the top 20 percentile in 10+2 conducted by the respective Boards.
Admissions are open for Foreign Nationals/Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs)/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) under Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme.

BMS College of Engineering, Bengaluru, also abbreviated as BMSCE, has the unique distinction of being the first private engineering college established in the country.
