
The Medical Council of India (MCI) takes into consideration the class 11 and 12 syllabi across different states before finalizing the syllabus for the NEET exam. With three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, students are expected to be proficient in all topics without exception. NEET 2019 Syllabus
The NEET exam has one paper of 180 questions which is divided equally among different sections. It is derived from three subjects – Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The exam is in an offline mode (pen and paper mode) and carries 4 marks for a right answer and deducts 1 mark for every incorrect answer. Here is the subject-wise syllabus:
Physics
Class XI
The syllabus includes Physical World and Measurement, Kinematics, Laws of Motion, and also Work, Energy and Power. Further, it includes Motion of System of Particles and Rigid Body, Gravitation, Properties of Bulk Matter, and Thermodynamics along with Behaviour of Perfect Gas and Kinetic Theory and Oscillations and Waves.
Class XII
The syllabus includes Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, and also Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents. Further, it includes Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, and Electronic Devices.
Some important topics that you can pay close attention to are Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Current Electricity, Dual Nature of Matter & Radiation, and also Magnetism & Moving Charges.

Class XII
The syllabus includes Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Elements, and also p, d, and f Block Elements. Further, it includes Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, and Biomolecules along with Polymers and Chemistry in Everyday Life.

- You can access the detailed syllabus at NEET’s official website – www.ntaneet.nic.in. Click on the information Bulletin of NEET -UG 2019 and scroll down to the Appendix-I.
- This is the final version of the syllabus and there will not be any further changes to it.
- Under any circumstance, do not skip any topic. The questions are asked from varying topics and you cannot predict which ones might get included.
